By the old rule, hair grows back fuller when it is cut under a waxing moon in Leo or Virgo, and not in Pisces or Cancer.

Gardening by the Moon
The biodynamic tradition links each day to the element of the Moon's sign:
- Root day (7, 8, 17, 18, 26, 27): sow and harvest carrots, potatoes, onions and radishes.
- Leaf day (3, 4, 12, 13, 22, 23, 30, 31): sow lettuce, cabbage, spinach and herbs; good for watering and the lawn.
- Flower day (1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29): sow and plant flowers, cut flowers.
- Fruit day (5, 6, 14, 15, 16, 24, 25): sow, tend and harvest fruit, tomatoes, beans and squash.
A rising Moon is said to favour sowing and harvesting what grows above ground; a falling Moon, planting, transplanting and pruning.
