The 88 constellations
Since 1922 the International Astronomical Union has divided the whole sky into 88 constellations. Here they are by the season in which they stand highest in the evening for northern observers, each with a chart, its brightest stars and, where there is one, its myth. Seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere.
