Total lunar eclipse on 26 June 2029
Greatest eclipse: 03:22 UTC
The Earth stands exactly between the Sun and the Moon, and its shadow falls on the Moon. A lunar eclipse can be seen wherever the Moon is above the horizon, without any eye protection. During totality the Moon glows copper red: it only receives light bent by the Earth's atmosphere.
